Generative Audiovisual Work
Circular Binaries is an audiovisual installation in which multiple processes interact to shape sounds, images, and compositional structures. At its core, a reaction diffusion system traces a maze of pathways, outlining the universe of possible outcomes within a complex system, while a stochastic model generates both the sonic material and the emerging musical forms.
The work unfolds through a nonlinear temporal structure, independent of a traditional timeline. Once initiated, the process evolves indefinitely without repetition, drawing the viewer into a contemplative and meditative state.
The choice of abstract images and sounds is influenced by geometric patterns found in Islamic visual art and by the semantic and organic richness of these motifs, which lend themselves naturally to mathematical transformation. Created during a period of isolation, the piece reflects a personal inclination toward observing slow and continuous change, conceived as an intentional counterpoint to the rapid stream of information that characterizes contemporary media.
