“Live at Trickster” captures the essence of the first public performance by Francesco Corvi and Hugo Lioret on 08.10.2023 at Trickster, Berlin.
Marking the duo’s debut, the record embodies their common interests in free improvisation, fluid structures, feedback systems, organicity, and hybridisation between digital and analogue technologies.
Resonating with the concept of Wabi-sabi (侘寂), both the performance and the recording hold a distinctive quality, where human imperfections become a central aesthetic element. Raw sounds, spontaneous gestures, and distorted events serve to express the unique feeling of interplay and shared experience of the performance.
